Just thought I'd pop in for a quick update. I did manage to haul my butt off to the gym last night. I felt so sluggish and really didn't want to go - but I'm glad I did. After about 10 mins on the elliptical I started to feel much better and ended up having a pretty good workout. Here's what I ended up doing:
- 35 minute interval workout on the elliptical
- 1.5 miles on the treadmill - alternate 0.25 mile walking at 3.8-4.0 pace and 0.25 mile running at 6.5-7.0 pace
- 10 minutes on the stairclimber
- Nice long stretch afterwards
For breakfast today I made myself a nice cold, sweet, and healthy smoothie. I bought myself a NutriBullet for Christmas (yes, the one on the infomercials!) and honestly, it has been like the most amazing thing ever. I pretty much never ever used my normal blender, but I've been using this little puppy like twice a day! It is so easy to just throw a bunch of fruit and veggies in the cup, attach the blade, blend for like 20 seconds and then BAM smoothie is ready to go, and already in a travel cup.
This morning's smoothie includes:
- 1 cup spinach
- 1/4 of a mango
- 1/2 cup Trader Joe's Frozen Berries (Very Cherry Mix)
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 1/4 cup fresh blackberries
- 2 spoonfulls of greek yogurt
- About 1/2 cup 1% milk
