Welcome to another workweek! What could be worse than the already dreaded "Monday Morning?" Why, the 3pm Monday Afternoon Meeting.
Yes, the 3pm Monday meeting is the bane of my existence. Why you ask? Well, after a fun weekend you suffer through the Monday morning blues, make it through lunchtime and juuuuuuusssttt when you think you have it made for the day it strikes... the 3pm meeting. I unfortunately have this happen almost every. single. Monday. Sometimes they're quite painless and only last until about 3:30-3:45. Not today. Today the meeting monster was in full force and I was stuck in the stale, drab conference room until 5:15. I'm usually good with meetings in the 1 hour range, but anything over 2 hours starts to just feel like torture. Especially when it seems like you've gone over the same three things for about the past 1,000 minutes. When we finally wrapped it up I think I must have sprinted out of there as fast as a cheetah, trailing slightly behind my just-as-anxious-to-be-done-with-this boss. If only everyone in our department could agree that meetings over 1 hour on a Monday afternoon should be outlawed (I'm looking at you villain!).
Annnnnyways! Now I'm home, scarfing down a nice hot bowl of "Italian Meatball" soup. Not the most exciting of dinners, I know - but it was ready in like 3 minutes. Hopefully I'll be able to pick myself up off the sofa here in a bit and head over to the gym. I think hitting the treadmill could help me rid the stress from the day (and forget for a bit that I have another 3pm meeting on Thursday) :)
Do you guys ever have late afternoon meetings? When is you least favorite time to meet?
